Payment, Cancellation and Refund Terms

How Alcohol-Approve starts work, delivers documents and handles cancellation and refund requests.

These public terms provide general information. Each client receives a service-specific Agreement and Particulars before payment. That signed agreement records the exact Services, Fees and full terms. If documents conflict, the signed Agreement and Particulars take priority. Nothing on this page limits rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

1. Service provider

Adam Kline (EI), an Individual Enterprise registered in Rennes, France, trading as Alcohol-Approve.

APE 5829C. SIRET 799 520 648 00020. 799 520 648 RCS Rennes.
Principal business address: 13B rue du Petit Rachapt, 35500 Vitré, France.
Email: hello@alcohol-approve.co.uk.

2. Services and deliverables

Alcohol-Approve provides professional assistance with UK alcohol approvals, registrations and licensing matters. The agreed work commonly results in tailored drafts, forms, plans, supporting documents, guidance and other electronic work product (the Output Materials).

The client remains responsible for checking and approving final information, making declarations required from the applicant, submitting the application unless submission is expressly included, and paying official or third-party fees. Decisions are made by the relevant regulator or authority; no approval or timescale is guaranteed.

3. Payment

  • Unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing, the full Fee is payable in advance before work starts.
  • The amount due and included Services are stated in the client’s Agreement and Particulars.
  • Payment is processed securely by Stripe, or may be made by bank transfer after Alcohol-Approve provides the relevant account details. Alcohol-Approve does not receive or store complete card details.
  • Official application fees, advertising charges and other third-party expenses are additional unless expressly included.
  • Work may be suspended while an undisputed payment remains outstanding.

4. Starting and completing the work

Work starts after the Agreement has been accepted, cleared payment has been received and the information reasonably required to proceed has been supplied. Delivery dates are estimates unless the signed Agreement expressly makes a date binding.

The service is fully performed when the agreed final Output Materials have been supplied and any other work expressly included in the agreed scope has been completed. Once usable final Output Materials have been delivered, the client can use them to make or progress its application. A change-of-mind cancellation does not entitle a business client to a refund after that point.

5. Business-client cancellation

This section applies where the client is acting for purposes relating wholly or mainly to its trade, business, craft or profession.

  • If cancellation is received before work starts, Fees paid will be refunded, less any non-cancellable third-party cost incurred at the client’s express request.
  • After work starts but before full performance, Alcohol-Approve may retain or charge a reasonable amount for work performed, capacity reasonably reserved and non-cancellable commitments. Any remaining balance will be refunded.
  • After final Output Materials have been delivered and the agreed service has been fully performed, Fees are non-refundable for a change of mind.
  • Withdrawing an application, deciding not to apply, changing the applicant or premises, or failing to use delivered Output Materials does not undo work already performed.

6. Consumer cancellation rights

A consumer is an individual acting for purposes wholly or mainly outside their trade, business, craft or profession. Most Alcohol-Approve instructions relate to a client’s business, but statutory consumer rights apply where the client legally qualifies as a consumer.

A consumer entering a distance service contract will normally have 14 days, beginning on the day after the contract is made, in which to cancel without giving a reason.

If the consumer expressly requests that work starts during that period and later cancels before the service is fully performed, the consumer may be required to pay a proportionate amount for the service supplied before cancellation. The cancellation right is lost once the service has been fully performed only where the consumer expressly requested an early start and acknowledged that full performance would end the right to cancel.

These provisions do not affect remedies where Services have not been provided with reasonable care and skill, do not match what was agreed, or where another statutory right applies.

7. Refunds and corrections

Fees paid for work already performed, usable Output Materials already delivered, capacity reasonably reserved or non-recoverable commitments are not refundable except where the signed Agreement or applicable law requires otherwise. Any refund for unperformed work will be calculated reasonably by reference to the work completed and unavoidable costs.

If Output Materials contain an apparent error or omission, the client should notify Alcohol-Approve promptly and provide a reasonable opportunity to investigate and correct it. This does not restrict any applicable statutory remedy.

Approved refunds are normally returned through the original payment method. Bank and card processing times are outside Alcohol-Approve’s control. Any refund due to a consumer will be made within the period required by applicable law.

8. How to cancel

Send a clear cancellation statement to hello@alcohol-approve.co.uk. Include the client name, agreement reference and enough information to identify the instruction. Cancellation takes effect when received, subject to payment for work and costs properly due under the signed Agreement and applicable law.

A consumer may use the model wording below, but is not required to do so:
