Hearing Submissions

We prepare written arguments for your hearing.

  • Objections have been raised against your licensing application which cannot be negotiated informally. A licensing hearing has been scheduled to determine the grant of your application.
  • Present at the hearing will be the Licensing Committee, responsible authorities such as the police, interested parties raising objections, and legal representatives.
  • We prepare written submissions for the hearing, addressing objections and detailing mitigation measures for the attendees. This is an important component of your hearing strategy and must generally be provided at least a week before the hearing.

Distance Representation

We represent you at licensing hearings held by video-conference.

  • You are not required to attend the hearing, but should ensure that someone is present to represent you.
  • You may choose to represent yourself - relying upon your written submissions. However, your allotted time for making verbal arguments will be limited - often only 5 minutes. We provide expert distance representation for video-conference hearings - assuring that your time is used effectively.
  • Where a physical hearing is required, we can recommend alternative representation.

Hearing Costs

There are no Licensing Authority fees in respect of the hearing.
