Personal Licence Application

Get licensed to approve sales of alcohol to the general public.

The application will need to be made to the council where you live. You will need to supply:

Application Form: A completed personal licence application form

ID Verification: Proof of the right to live and work in the UK , generally requiring a copy British passport or share code .

Criminal Record Check: A DBS basic disclosure criminal record check (cost £21.50) and a disclosure of Convictions and Declaration form (detailing any relevant convictions ).

APLH Qualification: An accredited qualification certificate (cost approximately £100 depending on training provider ).

Photos: 2 passport photos (one of which should be endorsed as a true likeness by a person of standing – doctor, teacher, solicitor etc.)

Fee: The licensing Authority application fee (currently £37)

Unless you have previous relevant convictions you should be able to manage your personal licence application yourself.
